2nd Family Dogs offers superior convenience, competitive pricing and an outstanding facility as well as the quality of our staff and other amenities. Unless otherwise instructed, all dogs being boarded will participate in group daycare activities at no additional charge allowing them to play and socialize indoors and/or outdoors with the whole gang. (This assumes that your dog does not require "special handling" as described below).
Accommodations: We have four sizes of private accommodations to fit every dog’s need. Of course, if you are boarding more than one pooch you can have them share a suite so they are together as they are at home.
When not sleeping, relaxing or eating in their private suite your dog will be playing in either the large dog play room which is 2,100 square feet of fun or the small dog play room which is 1,100 square feet of lively pooches. Our outdoor play area is 16,000 square feet with plenty of room for running, jumping, and all round fun.
In the hot summer months . . . pools, shade and misters are provided. Of course, whether inside or outside they are always supervised by our dog loving staff members.
Bedtime is 8:00 – 8:30 p.m. Then it's time for "tuck-in" service. Sweet dreams are sure to follow.
Dogs that board with us are served premium grade dog food. You are welcome to bring your own food if you prefer as well as treats. Please bring food in labeled bags or small plastic containers . We provide sanitized bedding for your pup or you can bring your own – either way we will make sure your dog is comfy and enjoying the temperature controlled environment in style.
Payments and Deposits: Please note that we do not accept checks. When you pick up your dog please be sure to bring cash or a valid credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
A deposit of 50% is required on Boarding Reservations of 14 days or more.
A deposit of 25% is required on Boarding Reservations during Holiday and Spring Break weeks.
Reservations must be cancelled in writing (email) 5 days prior to your boarding date in order for your deposit to be refunded.
Holiday and Spring Break Boarding Reservations: A 25% Deposit to secure reservations at the time of booking will apply for Holiday and Spring Break. Reservations must be cancelled in writing (email) 5 days prior to your boarding date in order for your deposit to be refunded.
Please note that during peak boarding periods such as Holidays and Spring Break if you are late returning from your trip and can't pick up your dog we will do our best to accommodate them for another night or two but because we will be full they will likely have to stay in a portable crate. The late pick up fee of $15 per day in addition to the boarding rate will apply.
Check-Out: Guests not checked out by closing time will need to pay for an additional night of boarding and be checked out the next day. Please understand that during these holiday and summer times when we are sold out, if you do not pick up your dog on the scheduled day of departure they will most likely need to be moved to a portable kennel.
Notices: If 2nd Family Dogs, in its own discretion, determines that a boarding or daycare dog is deemed too aggressive to play safely with other dogs they will automatically be separated from all other dogs and put in Special Handling. Additional rates will apply for Special Handling of $9.00 per day per dog will apply until the dog is picked up. Once notified that your dog has been deemed too aggressive to socialize with the rest of the dog pack your dog will not be allowed to return for boarding or daycare for the safety of all dogs.
We require all dogs to be on a flea protection program. If a dog is not current on their flea medication or if we detect fleas, we will administer a Capstar flea treatment at Owner’s expense of $15.00 and we will have to give your dog a flea treatment bath (the cost will vary depending on size and breed) which will be added to your invoice. We can’t allow fleas to go untreated.
